Dr. Justin Kolasa
Dr. Justin Kolasa is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon here at Danville Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Implant Center. He grew up in Stanford, KY, and is the son of John and Bonnie Kolasa. He is joined in Danville with his wife, Katrina, who is a General Surgeon with Central Kentucky Surgeons. They moved here with their dog, Petey.
Dr. Kolasa graduated summa cum laude with his undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. He then attended the University Of Kentucky College Of Dentistry, where he obtained his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (D.M.D) in 2013. During his time at UKCD he was president of his class and graduated with high distinction. He then attended the University of Kentucky College of Medicine where he obtained his Doctorate of Medicine (M.D.) in 2016.
Dr. Kolasa completed his oral and maxillofacial residency at the University of Kentucky in 2019. He is a broad scope oral and maxillofacial surgeon who specializes in Dental Implants, Wisdom Tooth Management, Oral/Head and Neck Pathology, Disorders of the TMJ, Corrective Jaw Surgery, Facial Trauma, Facial Cosmetic procedures, and General Anesthesia. He also has a strong interest in education and is on the voluntary faculty at the University Of Kentucky College Of Dentistry, which includes mentoring oral and maxillofacial surgery residents.
Professional organizations include the American Dental Association, Kentucky Dental Association, Bluegrass Dental Society, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Kentucky Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Medical Association, and Kentucky Medical Association.
Current certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
